Soil Treatment - Best Recommended
A chemical soil treatment blocks termites from returning to their central colony next from your building. Termites are compelled to return to their central nest every few days to obtain moisture essential for their survival and to feed and groom the nymphs (young termites), the king, queen and other termites.
The installation of a chemical soil barrier requires expert knowledge and specialized equipment. The barrier must be complete and continuous in order to protect the building from a termite entry and infestation.
Also, care must be taken to detect any subsidiary termite nest within the building structure. Subterranean termites can build subsidiary nests inside a roof or wall; any cavity that has regular moisture. Possible sources of moisture can be caused by faulty plumbing, broken roof tiles or gutters.
Baiting Systems - not available at F.T.C.
Baiting systems provide bait that is an insect growth regulator. The bait is spread throughout the colony by the worker termites. An insect growth regulator stops the molting process required for the termites to grow. As the worker termites die off, the termite colony declines until it can no longer sustain itself, ultimately leading to it's collapse and elimination.
This system requires supervision by a licensed technician for the duration of the contract. |
